Pickleball in Waukesha, Wisconsin
Waukesha supports both large outdoor complexes and structured indoor winter play. Lowell Park is the city's everyday public venue, Banting and Buchner parks each provide eight reservable courts, and Schuetze Recreation Center separates casual, intermediate, and advanced sessions across four indoor courts.

Lowell Park

Banting Park

Banting has eight pickleball courts and one lighted tennis court. A pickleball court reservation costs $10 per hour with a two-hour minimum, making it suitable for a league pod or larger group that wants guaranteed court time.
Buchner Park
231 Oakland Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186
Buchner also has eight pickleball courts plus four lighted tennis courts. Reservations use the same $10-per-hour pickleball rate and two-hour minimum as Banting.
C.F. Schuetze Recreation Center

The air-conditioned gym has four indoor wood courts, permanent lines, restrooms, water, and accessible facilities. October-through-April play runs Monday and Thursday from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. for social and casual players; Wednesday and Friday from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. for competitive and intermediate players; Monday from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. for advanced players; and Saturday from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m. for experienced players of all levels. Pickleball Lessons in Waukesha
Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry offers Tuesday afternoon beginner classes and drills-and-skills workouts during the indoor season at Schuetze. The skill-separated open-play blocks then give students an immediate next step. Additional instructors are listed in the Coaches section.
Pickleball Events and Tournaments
The city's adult recreational pickleball group organizes play through Waukesha Parks and Recreation. Nearby Life Time Brookfield hosted its 2026 Spring Classic on April 17-18 with singles and doubles divisions, round-robin play followed by medal matches, and fees of $40 for members or $50 for nonmembers.
Visitor Tips
Use Lowell Park for flexible outdoor drop-in play from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. A group needing guaranteed outdoor space can reserve one of the eight-court Banting or Buchner complexes for a two-hour minimum. From October through April, Schuetze is the most useful indoor choice because every session has a named skill group and exact three-hour or weekend time block.
